My name is Pablo José Mejia.

I’m a first generation Colombian American and I am from Mill Creek, Washington. I am a student focusing in design and collaboration- I am currently involved in UW Bothell’s Husky Book Club as a general officer/designer. I am also a part of UWB’s Literary and Arts Journal, Clamor, as part of the design and social media team. My roles in these positions reflect my interest and
passion for art and design.

My projects have been mostly graphic design- I have experience creating mockups of branding material, book covers, and general photography and typography.

In my free time I love to watch films, listen to music, and write poetry. The most recent film i’ve seen is Brian de Palma’s “Scarface” and my favorite band right now are the Eagles. I am also currently working on my third publication of poetry
.

Many different things inspire me -

Whenever I treat myself to a new video game, I meticulouslystudy the front and back covers of the game case. When visiting the movie theater, I pay attention to all the different film posters. When taking the bus, I take note of billboards, traffic signs, advertisements, and more. I have a keen eye for all kinds of design and like to implement what I pick up into my own work.  My work is best described as projects that have a clear and concise message being delivered while my own creative flair is added.

Currently, I am working on designing my own website that showcases all of my written works. I am reformatting the manuscripts of my two published collections of poetry to be available digitally. I am also working closely with peers who are involved in Clamor to design flyers, advertising, and the manuscript for the 2026 edition of the journal.

I am always open to new projects!
